Welcome to Kleine Brogel Elementary School, School Year 2014-2015. Our school belongs to all of us and we share in the responsibilities of educating our children. We are here to work with all children as individuals - to take them into the classroom in August and teach them how to learn, how to succeed, how to get along with others, and how to be the best they can be.
We welcome and encourage strong parent involvement in our school, and we look forward to working with you on behalf of our children. We will do our best to keep you informed through our weekly newsletter, periodic e-mails, parent meetings, and other school activities.
It will be our pleasure to get to know each and every child in our school. You will receive calls from us from time to time to share information about your child's progress and accomplishments. In turn, we hope that you will keep us informed of any news, concerns, or suggestions you may have to make our school even better.

Kleine Brogel Vision Statement:
Kleine Brogel Elementary School strives to nurture the development of students as life-long learners.
Our vision is that students will enjoy learning, think creatively, and act responsibly.
Goal 1: Math Word Problems
All students will increase performance on targeted developmentally appropriate mathematical word problems using instructional interventions as measured by system wide and/or school based assessments.
The targeted skills are: understanding the problem, applying knowledge, choosing appropriate strategies, and using skills to solve problems.
Goal 2: Vocabulary
All students will increase performance on targeted developmentally appropriate vocabulary skills using instructional interventions implemented in all curricular areas as measured by the TerraNova3 as well as other system-wide and school-based assessments.
The targeted skills are: to develop a comprehensive vocabulary used to analyze and
understand key concepts in curriculum areas.
