PRESCHOOL

The Belgian Preschool Program starts on Wednesday, September 1st. It is provided by the Belgian School, and located on the same complex as KBES. The age limit ranges from 2.5 years of age until the child is eligible for Kindergarten in our American School.

By registering your child in the Belgian Gemeenschapsschool, “De Boomgaard”, you understand that the curriculum is developed and conducted by Belgian, not American, personnel. Our Administration Office voluntarily assists parents with questions regarding the Belgian pre-school. Please be reminded that the preschool is in no way affiliated with Kleine Brogel Elementary School.

*Transportation arrangements for Preschoolers must be made by parents.

School Advisory Committee

The School Advisory Committee’s purpose is to advise the principal. Meetings will be held a minimum of four times during the year. The meeting dates are announced in FRIDAY'S NOTES. Parents are encouraged to attend these meetings.

Parent Teacher Organization

Our school has a Parent Teacher Organization whose purpose is to raise funds through projects for the benefit of our students. Membership dues are 5€ per child.

Volunteer Program

We are very fortunate to have dedicated volunteers throughout our community. Volunteers help make our curriculum and school not just a good one, but an excellent one.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please feel free to stop in or contact our School Home Community Partnership chairperson for more information.

When volunteering, please remember to sign in and collect a badge at the front office as you enter the building.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS OR PHONE NUMBER:
Please notify the school when you move to a new address, if there is a change in duty or home telephone numbers, or if you are going out of town and your child will stay with a friend/sitter. It is important that we have an emergency contact number readily available at all times! In the event the school is unable to reach a parent/guardian or an emergency contact, a command representative will be called.
